Clay Head

Picture
About this project:
After drawing the face in proportion, we created a hand made face with clay using the knowledge of face proportion. To elaborate this project, I used similar instruction to locate the face parts like eyes, nose, mouth and hair to earn a good grade. After the face was ready we had to dry the face and a
then when it is already dried we had to paint the face.

Reflection:
This project was really fun and easy to make. With the knowledge that we had by taking the face proportion  notes it was easy to locate approximately the parts where each of the face parts should go. I preferred making with clay my face than drawing it because y enjoyed it more and did it faster, the only problem I had was that my face got messed up in my locker and I had to repeat it. I am proud with my face because i putted lots of effort on it and i hope next year I can work with clay doing something similar.

Abstract Drawing

Picture
About this project:
In this project I was supposed to draw different shapes and lines to make an abstract drawing. After we draw the lines and shapes we have to trace them with a black marker and erase the pencil. Then we had to paint inside the shapes with the different techniques learned in class.

Reflection:
This project first was interesting and i thought it was going to be easy to make lines and shapes at first. Then I realized that coloring the shapes with different techniques was difficult especially in the smaller shapes. So when I had to color my work I did not enjoy it so much, but when i was finished i felt happy and relieved with my product. I am proud of my work because after everything I could accomplish what I wanted and get a good grade.

Half-Portrait

Picture
About this project:
This project is also part of Facial Proportion unit like the clay face. In this project we had to cut in half our face and glue one half in a cardboard. Then in the other half which was blank we had to complete our face  with techniques and measures learned in class. This project was really difficult to make because we had to make the other half of the face similar to the picture. I used to complete this project a regular pencil and a blending stick.

Reflection:
This section of the unit was the one I did not enjoyed and like. It was complicated to draw with  pencil the other half of your face even dough we took notes before drawing. I took time to draw my other half of the face, but I think I could have done it better. I could have done a better job doing shades and coloring with my pencil the parts which needed to be darker like my t-shirt and my hair. Next year I would like to do a similar project to compare my progress of this project and the next one.
